Lukimbi Safari Lodge

Hotel Lukimbi Safari Lodge

Lukimbi Safari Lodge is one of only 7 private concessions in Kruger National Park, South Africa. Immerse yourself in a unique safari experience in this vast protected reserve, where the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros) and a wide variety of other animals and birds roam freely in their natural habitat.

The lodge is constructed with natural materials to subtly blend into the surrounding environment, nestled among marula and sweet thorn trees beside a natural spring. Lukimbi has its own character: warm, welcoming, charmingly imperfect, and a bit quirky too. Bright, richly textured natural fabrics, boldly chosen furniture for comfort, and handcrafted artwork encourage a relaxed atmosphere where you are invited to feel at home, whether in the lounge, bar, dining area, one of the relaxation nooks, or the library. The pool area is a haven of serenity, right on the banks of the Lwakahle River.

Each of the 14 Classic Suites occupies its own elevated position overlooking the bushveld and has been designed to maximize the view. Cathedral-style windows, floor-to-ceiling glass facing large stone baths, and open-air showers promise ample opportunities to fully appreciate and connect with nature.

A safari at Lukimbi is a unique, highly personalized safari experience in Kruger National Park. At most, there are 6 vehicles in the concession. Guided walks along the river and through the bush are also offered for those who wish to have their feet on the ground and gain a fresh perspective on an interactive safari!

The lodge takes its name from the elusive and legendary Lukimbi, half-lion and half-owl. Book your stay at Lukimbi to learn more about this local traditional story, passed down through generations in tales!
