Visit to the Iraqwi Village in Karatu

The eruption of the volcano that created the Ngorongoro Crater over 25 million years ago resulted in an ash cloud that has formed a rich farming area at the foothills of the crater. This area, where the village of Karatu is now located, has become a place for cultivating some of the finest coffee. During the excursion, we will take a nature walk through these farmlands, offering the opportunity to see more than 100 species of birds, as well as beautiful flowers and to get closer to the local population, members of the Iraqwi tribe.
